The Franklin Senior Center now has a Low-Vision Assistive Technology Training Center on the second floor of the newly-renovated Senior Center.  This Technology Center contains “state-of-the-art” equipment available to assist seniors who may be experiencing a loss or decrease in their vision.  Staff and volunteers are available to instruct seniors on the proper use of the equipment.  A low-vision support group also meets monthly in this room.  This Technology Center is open/available during certain hours of the day. If you are interested in using this equipment or being part of the support group, please contact the Senior Center for more information at 508-520-4945.

Mental Health Assistance now available for Seniors:

The Franklin Senior Center has received a grant from the state to retain the services of a Mental Health Counselor, who is available to meet individually with seniors in their homes or here at the Senior Center, to discuss and assist them with their emotional needs.  Because of the grant, these counseling sessions are free-of-charge to seniors.  For more information or to make an appointment, please contact the Senior Center at 508-520-4945.

Safe & Secure Home: By appointment, our wellness nurse can do a Home Safety Evaluation of your home to reduce the risk of falls and arrange for grab-bar installation, if needed. For more information, call the Senior Center at: 508-520-4945.
