Media Release, Stewart Street

On March 15, 2017 at approximately 8:00am the Franklin Fire Department responded to 84 Stewart Street in the Town of Franklin for a medical emergency. While on scene fire personnel made observations of certain chemical items that raised concerns. The Franklin Police initiated an investigation, and shortly thereafter enlisted the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police.

At this time the Franklin Police, along with Troopers from the State Police, and officials from the State Fire Marshal’s office are working at the residence to remove the items. There is no danger to any neighbors or the public at this time. We appreciate the cooperation of the residents of the area as we work to resolve this incident as quickly and safely as possible.
