Fields & Playgrounds

Welcome to the Town of Franklin Fields and Playgrounds

King Street Memorial Park News

On Saturday, May 11, the Recreation Department held a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the new playground donated by Where Angles Play.  The playground was named in memory of Brian Venables and was built with donations from Jersey Mikes and the Venables Family.  We held a citizen engagement session on October 26, at 4 pm. Many abutters attended, some voiced some concern for shields on field lighting to avoid light spill, drainage for parking lot at flagpole, concern about adding additional pickleball courts and some wanted a walking path around the perimeter. See the preliminary design (PDF).
