Board of Registrars

The Board of Registrar's assist the Town Clerk’s office in promoting voter registration, maintaining the Voter Lists, being present at all Voter registration sessions, certifying the signatures on all nomination papers and petitions, certifying absentee voter applications, conducting recounts and assisting in the preparation of the annual street list.

Mass. General Laws, Chapter 51, Section 15 mandates that every town have a Board of Registrars consisting of four members, one of which is the Town Clerk.  The three remaining members are appointed by the Town Council.
