Notice from DPW: Fall Curbside Leaf Pickup will not be available. Here are your options...

Notice from the Department of Public Works

Waste Management is unable to carry out the Fall Curbside Leaf Pickup during the week of November 15th.

Please understand, this was not any easy decision to make and we understand this makes leaf removal difficult for some folks.

Some residents contacted us, so in order to make things easier, you will be able to drop off leaves ANYTIME during the month of November during the hours listed below. Additionally, if you need to borrow someone's vehicle to transport your yard waste, as long as a person inside said vehicle can prove they are a Franklin resident, they will be allowed to drop off leaves.

In years past, we have never really had "long lines" during the leaf drop off period. There might be a short wait. As always we will have some extra staff during busy times to assist folks.

So what this means:

During the month of November, residents of Franklin can utilize the ‘leaf drop off’ areas at the Recycle Center (located at 455 Beaver Street) WITHOUT purchasing an annual pass. The times you can bring your yard waste (without a sticker) to the Recycle Center are as follows:

• Tuesdays 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

• Fridays 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

• Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

• Sundays from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

If you have any thoughts to improve things, questions or specific needs please reach out to us at Public Works, either by phone or email.
