Daily Press Logs and Arrest Logs

Important Notice:

The Franklin Police Department believes in Excellence and Accountability as outlined in our Mission / Values / Vision statement. We make every effort to provide as much information to the public as we legally can, and make it as easily accessible as possible. Legislation signed into law by Governor Patrick in August of 2014 restricts the public release of any police records pertaining to domestic violence and abuse. This includes incident reports, log entries, and arrest records.  See MGL Ch 41 §97D and MGL Ch 41 §98F for more information. Please understand that these types of incidents do account for a large portion of our call volume and officer contact hours. However these incidents are not represented in these public releases.

CALL LOG ARREST ENTRIES

  • Arrest records published in our logs are public information.

  • Arrests which are exempt by law are not included.

  • Section 12 arrests are not criminal offenses, but are still a custody for involuntary mental health treatment.

  • Any indication of an arrest does NOT mean the individual identified has been convicted of a crime.

  • All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
