What Can and Can't be Recycled in Your Cart

Collection will be delayed one day if your collection falls on or after one of these observed holidays:

• Independence Day
• Labor Day            
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day
  
  Please Note
• All items including yard waste must be placed by the curb no later than 7:00 AM the day of collection.
• Please remember to keep carts three feet apart for collection to ensure that the truck has proper access. Also keep carts near the curb so the truck can access the cart.  Recycling cannot be put into bags, as the automated sorting process cannot open bags.  Any bagged recycling is prohibited per town bylaw 151-7.
• New replacement carts can be ordered for your residence.  Each cart is $75 and the old cart must be be picked up by the DPW in order to receive the replacement cart.  Availability is dependent upon available stock.  Please call 508-553-5500 to order.
• Please be aware that putting trash (including any plastic bags) in your recycling cart may result in a fine of up to $100; any hazardous materials, televisions, air conditioners, etc. could result in a fine of up to $300.
