- Franklin residents Kim Mu-Chow and Lester Chow's fathers, Chinese-American WWII veterans, posthumously received Congressional Gold Medals for their service to the United States.The medals were on display at the Veterans' Day 2021 Luncheon.
- Major General William S. Chen, U.S. Army, Retired, recognized and thanked all U.S. veterans and spoke about the sacrifices and achievements of Chinese-American World War II veterans in his presentation at Franklin's Veterans' Day 2021 Luncheon.
