- Deferred Compensation Plans (457b)
- Medicare Information
- Medicare Part A is through Medicare directly, provides insurance for certain hospital, in-patient, hospice and home care services. Typically free for most members.
- Medicare Part B is through Medicare directly, covers out-patient care, such as doctor’s appointments and preventative services. Cost is determined by income/joint income if married. Paid to Medicare, is not deducted from your pension.
- Medicare Part C through Franklin, also known as Medicare Advantage, is a type of private insurance plan that covers services detailed in Medicare Parts A, B and D.
- Medicare Part D is through Medicare directly, covering the cost of generic and premium prescription drugs. Not necessary to enroll in if participating in Franklin’s Aetna Medicare Advantage program as it is included.
