Construction of Franklin's sewer system from 1914 through 1915. The Pond Street sewer beds were in service from 1915 through the early 1970s, which the Charles River Pollution Control District (CRPCD) was formed. The CRPCD in Medway now treats all of Franklin's sewage. The sewer beds are no longer in use, but all of the sewer lines shown in these pictures are still in use today!
