Massachusetts Cultural Council | Culture Elevates"
The Town of Franklin’s Department of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy works in close partnership with the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) to support and grow the local creative sector. As a designated Massachusetts Cultural District as well as hosting a Local Cultural Council (LCC), Franklin benefits from MCC’s resources, guidance, and funding opportunities, which help strengthen cultural programming, public art initiatives, and community engagement efforts. Through this collaboration, the department fosters a vibrant cultural landscape that enhances economic development, promotes local artists and organizations, and ensures that arts and culture remain a vital part of Franklin’s identity and quality of life.
Culture provides. "Our cultural life thrives because of the work of countless arts, humanities, and sciences organizations across the Commonwealth. Programs like the Cultural Facilities Fund, Universal Participation, and Card to Culture have been designed to help such organizations innovate, take on new challenges, and expand access to previously underserved audiences. We invest in ambition and imagination, with returns that improve our quality of life, create economic opportunity, and engage more people in cultural participation." MCC
