Franklin Welcomes the World – Limited Edition T-Shirt Designs

The Town of Franklin invite local and regional artists to submit original designs for a special Franklin Welcomes the World t-shirt series celebrating the upcoming international soccer games at Gillette Stadium for Franklin town celebrations throughout the summer season.

This summer, during community programming, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to create their own custom shirts onsite at Town Common events — Selected designs will be printed live at event activations, where attendees can choose their favorite design and iron-press it onto a t-shirt as part of the festivities.

What We’re Looking For

A single-color design suitable for heat-transfer printing

Artwork that celebrates:
Community
Global connection
Soccer / World Cup excitement
Franklin pride
Bold, graphic designs that reproduce clearly in one color

We are seeking up to three (3) designs to feature throughout the summer.

Artist Stipend

Each selected artist will receive a $250 stipend for the use of their design.

How It Works

During event programming on the Town Common:
Blank t-shirts will be available for purchase.
Participants will select their preferred artist design.
Designs will be iron-pressed onsite, creating a customizable, interactive art experience.

This initiative is intended to:
Highlight local artists
Create a memorable, hands-on cultural activation
Celebrate Franklin as a welcoming host community

This project will be made possible by the Franklin Cultural Council, Franklin Cultural District and the Town of Franklin Recreation Department and the Department of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy.
