Move Along At the Town Common!  10:30 a.m.  (all ages)

This thirty minute program features music, movement, stories, instruments, and other interactive activities to encourage social skills and promote early literacy! Parents and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to participate. No registration is required.

Join us each week for an exciting new STEAM-related activity! From bath bombs, to magnets, to beginner coding, your Monday afternoons are about to get super creative!

Baby Tummy Time! 9:30 a.m. (For pre-walkers ages 0-18 months)

Babies and caregivers: join us each Thursday morning for Tummy Time! Nurture your baby’s development with gentle music, movement, and sensory play at the library! Please bring a small blanket or towel for your baby’s comfort!


story and craft

Story and Craft.  10:30 a.m. For ages  3—6 years of age.

Stories, activities, and a craft for children ages 3, 4, 5, and 6 who are able to attend "on their own." This program lasts around 45 minutes. No registration is required.


park it and read

Park It and Read!, 12:00 p.m.

Join us for a picnic storytime at one of Franklin's parks! We'll be meeting at a different park, and exploring a different theme each week! Bring your own picnic and blanket.

Put on some comfy clothes, grab the whole family and your yoga mats and join us in the program room for a family yoga adventure! We'll follow along with a fabulous story, doing different moves to keep the story going!

Make some new friends at the library! Come meet some Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Shetland Sheep, miniature horses and donkey, alpacas, bunnies, bantam chickens and a miniature pig!

Millie will perform a bubble, fun, and interactive show featuring all different types. Little bubbles, big bubbles, square bubbles, silly bubbles, a bubble car wash, and everyone gets to be INSIDE of a bubble!

Pajama Dance Party, Saturday, July 15, 1:00 p.m.

Come dressed in your favorite jammies and get ready to boogie at our pajamadance party! We'll have a few pajama-related stories and activities, and of course, a whole lot of dancing!

Wild Cats 101 – For ages 6 and up!, Wednesday, July 19, 10:30 a.m.

This show will give you a greater understanding of the wild felines that live among us! You will learn how they survive in the wild, what they eat, what eats them, the threats they face in the wild, and the conservation efforts in place to help ensure their survival. You will meet a few amazing animal ambassadors during the show and learn how you can help their wild cousins! This program is for ages six and up.

Dragons Love Tacos Party!, Friday, July 21, 2:00 p.m.

Join us for a reading of the popular children's book Dragons Love Tacos and the new sequel, Dragons Love Tacos 2! Then we'll celebrate with crafts, activities, and of course, tacos!!!

Pirate Training Camp!, July 24-28

Calling all swashbucklers! For the whole week of July 24th, drop by the library each day for a series of pirate training activities! Come in at any time each day for a new activity where you'll build your skill set and learn to be a pirate captain! Once you have completed all of the activities, receive your special pirate prize on Saturday at our Pirate Party!

Cap't Hains shows up at a bit of a loss. He has a treasure map, but his crew is sick with scurvy and he needs a crew to help him find the loot! Come use your pirate skills to help Captain Hains find the treasure!

Celebrate the end of a week of pirate-themed festivities with a Pirate Party! Come in your best buccaneering outfits, and enjoy games, crafts, snacks, stories, and maybe a surprise or two!

Come celebrate our favorite wizard's birthday at the library! Dress up as your favorite character, get sorted into a Hogwarts Hours, and enjoy games, crafts, wizarding snacks, and a costume contest!

Marvelous Marvin's Brain Circus, Wednesday, August 2, 5:00 p.m.

"Brain Circus" beings with a rhyming overture about brain health and it's links with exercise and reading! Then, we join the circus and feel our brain grow! We'll learn circus skills juggling props, balancing sticks, prinning plates, flip-and-flyers, hula hoops, rhythm sticks and romper stompers!

Let's celebrate and appreciate our favorite hardworking drawing supplies! First, we'll read the hit book, "The Day the Crayons Quit," and its sequel, "The Day the Crayons Came Home." Then, we'll celebrate with crafts, snacks and activities all featuring crayons!

jungle jim's minecraft madness

Jungle Jim's Minecraft Madness, Wednesday, August 16, 10:30 a.m.

Join Jungle Jim as he leads participants through the magical world of minecraft! Combining balloon artistry, magic, comedy, and improv, Jim creates an amazing experience for children. Activities include giant dragon creation, the building block madness tournament, a riveting zombie chase, and the balloon firework rocket extravaganza!
