Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council IncorporatedThe Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) is a consortium of 45+ local area police departments and law enforcement agencies. These agencies work together to provide unique and highly specialized law enforcement resources to all of its member communities. This regional support system allows the communities involved to have access to some outstanding services, forces, and equipment to ensure their well-being in this post-9/11 environment.

In this age, law enforcement agencies are faced with an insurmountable number of unique crimes, emergencies, and possible disasters. It is unreasonable, and financially impossible, for every community to be fully trained and equipped for every possible contingency. Therefore, local communities have banded together, with organizations such as MetroLEC, uniting to help each other and making us all safer in the end. The member communities acknowledge that certain critical incidents call for a law enforcement response that may exceed the capabilities of any one single agency, now; they can call on the assistance of MetroLEC for such situations.

MetroLEC consists of several operational components, comprised of personnel from throughout the MetroLEC communities. These units receive specialized training and equipment and are available to assist any one of the member communities in their time of need.

The council currently operates eight unique divisions:

  • Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)
  • Canine Unit (K9)
  • Computer Crime Unit (CCU)
  • Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT)
  • Mobile Operations Motorcycle Unit (MOP)
  • Investigative Services Unit (ISU)
  • Bicycle Unit
  • Marine Unit
  • Child Abduction Response Team (CART)
  • Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)

Officers Chris Palladini, Eric Cusson, and are active members of the MetroLEC Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT).

Officer Connor Desmond and Jovan Bielski are active members of the MetroLEC Motorcycle Unit (MOP).

Officer Derek Tetrault is an active member of the MetroLEC Tactical Mountain Bike Unit.

Officer Tara Lagoa and Sergeant Lou Marguerite are active members of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM)

Sergeant John Godino is an active member of the MetroLEC Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT)

Sergeant Joseph MacLean and Detective Leeanne Baker serve as investigators with the MetroLEC Child Abduction Response Team.
