Veterans' Services

The Town of Franklin Department of Veterans' Services offers assistance to any Franklin resident who has served the country in the United States Armed Forces and who may be entitled to receive benefits from local, state or federal agencies. Our department also serves spouses and dependents of Veterans who reside in Franklin.

Our goal is to provide services with the dignity and respect our Veterans have earned through their service to our country.

In conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Veterans' Services, we assist Franklin Veterans and their immediate family members with the following:

  • VA claims and VA Health Care applications
  • MGL Chapter 115 applications (financial hardship)
  • Affordable housing applications
  • Applications for financial assistance through the Franklin Municipal Veterans Assistance Fund
  • Contacting community partners for transportation, health care, mental health, and employment searches
  • Applications for the Veterans Property Tax Work-Off Program
  • Information about local disabled Veterans property tax exemptions
  • Applications for state benefits such as the Welcome Home Bonus and Veterans Annuity
