Franklin Fall Youth Field Hockey Program

The 2025 Field Hockey season has ended and we would like to thank our wonderful coaches for dedicating so much time and energy and making this season special for the players.  Our 2026 Registration will begin on Monday, May 4th at 8:30am.  The season will begin on Monday, August 24 at Beaver Pond turf field.

NEWS:

We have received several inquiries from parents regarding where they can purchase apparel for the Franklin Youth Field Hockey program.

To address this, we have partnered with Custom Apparel in Medway, MA to offer a selection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and other apparel items. You can conveniently log in and make purchases directly on their website.  


For those that have daughters in the Girls Youth Lacrosse program, we will be starting Spring registration on Monday, November 3, at 8:30am and we will have an apparel site for lacrosse as well. 


It is the Franklin Recreation Departments objective to promote girls youth field hockey in an environment that:

  • Emphasizes fun, while developing skills, teamwork, good sportsmanship, self confidence and integrity
  • Strives to provide equal playing time for all players
  • Creates balanced teams at each age level
  • Adheres to a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct of players, coaches and spectators

Age Divisions: Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade, 3rd and 4th Grade, 5th and 6th Grade, 7th and 8th Grade

The Franklin field hockey program plays in the Commonwealth field hockey league and all information pertaining to this league (rosters, practice and game schedule, field locations) are located on the Commonwealth Field Hockey website.

Winter Indoor Field Hockey

The field hockey MiniStix winter skills sessions will focus on field hockey fun! We will review 1v1 skills, passing and receiving techniques, reverse skills, shooting and dodging techniques. Skills sessions are offered for our Kindergarten, first and second graders. Locations: Recreation Department Gym, 275 Beaver Street.
