The Franklin Recreation Department continues its youth basketball program in 2025-26. This program has provided enjoyment, participation, and memories for children for nearly 50 years. Boys and girls in grades K-8 can continue developing their skills and ensuring adequate, equal playing time based on our matrix participation system (PDF). Coaches print their matrix (PDF) based on the number of players that attend each game vs. the opponents number of players. Schedules and times fluctuate weekly. Players in grades 3rd-8th will participate in our skill sessions (October 19th) to determine player's abilities. Then team placement will take place over the following weeks (October 20-24th week). Our goal is to make every team equal in skill, ability, and age.
