NHL Street Hockey (Winter 2026)

Registration for our winter season starts on Monday, November 3, at 8:30am.  Rosters and schedules will be posted below in Mid December after registration is complete and the winter league will kick on on January 5, 2026.

Registration for NHL Street Hockey (Summer 2026) 

Registration for our Summer street hockey program will begin on March 2, 2026.  We anticipate this program to fill quickly, so please don't delay in signing up.  The program will run from June 1-August 5, 2026

All winter games will be held indoors at the Recreation Department, 235 Wachusett Street (old Parmenter School gym).  All summer games will be held at Fletcher Field, located at 51 Peck Street and 92 Wachusett Street. There is a large parking lot on the Peck Street side where the playground is located with parking available on both Wachusett Street and Peck Street sides.

The Town of Franklin Recreation Department's street hockey program is now an official NHL Street Hockey affiliated program.  The program has a new street hockey rink at Fletcher Field, built in 2021.  We completed this project with Classic Turf Company LLC for the construction of a new street hockey/basketball court at Fletcher Field. The Boston Bruins donated $75,000 to the Town for the dasher board system that we installed.

The Franklin Recreation Department has provided this program and other youth sport programs for the past 25 years, and continues to be successful. The mission of Franklin Recreation Department is to provide sport opportunities to Franklin youth in a fun, learning environment.
