The Franklin Cultural Council is a program from the Massachusetts Cultural Council
The mission of the Franklin Cultural Council (FCC) is to encourage participation and enhance opportunities for enrichment in the cultural arts and sciences throughout our community. Comprised of committed residents, the FCC meets monthly with the purpose of supporting events and programs through grants from the Town of Franklin and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Massachusetts Cultural Council works to elevate our rich cultural life in Massachusetts. We serve the Commonwealth and all who live, work, visit, and play here by amplifying creativity, providing resources, expanding relationships, and championing transformational changes that maintain and grow a thriving creative and cultural ecosystem.
What's the difference between the Franklin Cultural District Committee and the Franklin Cultural Council?
The Franklin Cultural District Committee is focused on promoting a singular geographic area in Franklin (click here for more information), whereas the Cultural Council's reach (programs and grants) stretch too all areas within the Town of Franklin; even occasionally overlapping in the Cultural District. Both groups are allocated funds from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and have support from the Town of Franklin. Both committee and council are made up of collaborative volunteers dedicated to making Franklin's cultural sector the brightest it can be!
