250th Anniversary Celebration Committee

Overview

On June 18, 2025 the Town Council established the 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee to plan, organize, and carry out events and activities pertaining to Franklin’s 250th Anniversary celebration, which shall be held throughout the Town’s semi quincentennial year, 2028.

The Committee will:

• Engage town boards, committees and departments for input, ideas and coordination of the yearlong celebration.
• Plan a rich program of events, activities and information throughout the year recognizing Franklin’s Past, Present and Future - engaging all citizenry and businesses in a celebratory, collaborative, and unified manner.
• Create a town wide calendar and communication strategy to ensure information relating to Committee programs and activities are accessible to the public.
• Plan and implement fundraising activities in accordance with MGL Chapter 53, Section 53i.

The Committee consists of fifteen (15) members with terms to expire on June 30, 2029.
