Welcome to the new Conservation B(l)og – your direct way to stay “in-the-know” about all things “Conservation” and the Town of Franklin. Want to know more about volunteer and educational events and opportunities? Have an itch to learn the latest information relating to Natural Resources and Environmental Science? Or do you simply want to stay updated about what the Conservation Department and Commission are doing throughout Town? Then please subscribe to this blog to receive all this conservation information directly to your inbox! Subscription information can be found at the bottom of this page.

To kick off the first post of the Conservation B(l)og, the Franklin Conservation Commission is pleased to invite you, your friends, and your family to a Fall Gathering at the DelCarte Conservation Area at 459 Pleasant Street on October 22, 2022 from 9AM to 12PM. We would be delighted if you joined us for this autumnal celebration! Sponsored activities include pumpkin painting, a Forester led “Woods Walk”, the opportunity to meet Wetland and Soil Scientists, partake in fun children's activities, conduct stewardship, and more. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided and volunteer hours will be validated, as necessary.

So please stop by to introduce yourself, allow us to introduce ourselves, but most of all - have fun!

Best Fishes,
